Pathway to Serenity: Capturing the Tranquility of Helen Putnam Park

The morning air was crisp as I loaded my camera gear and set out for Helen Putnam Regional Park in Petaluma, California. While this isn’t a new location for me, I wanted to capture the park’s natural beauty since our rains had blanketed the rolling hills and winding trails with a lush green carpet.

Arriving at the park, I was greeted by lush, green hills bathed in the soft light filtered through the clouds. The tranquil atmosphere is a refreshing escape, and I wanted to put my two new knees through their paces.

Hiking along the Ridge Trail, I found the ideal spot: wooden steps (thanks for adding those Sonoma County Regional Parks) leading down into a lush valley, framed by the hills and a dramatic sky.

For me, this is a “Pathway to Serenity.” It encapsulates the peacefulness I feel when I visit Helen Putnam, and yes, my knees are getting stronger by the day!
